🏡 Start Here: Welcome to The Anime Momma Blog

Hi! I’m May—the voice behind The Anime Momma Blog (TAMB). I’m a new mom, a veteran teacher, and a lifelong anime fan✨💛

For those of you who are new to anime and don’t know what it is: Anime is an animated storytelling medium that ranges from lighthearted adventure stories to deeply philosophical dramas. Some shows are wonderful for families, while others require a bit more discernment. Learn more on our post, What Is Anime?

The goal of The Anime Momma Blog is simple: I’m here to help parents and guardians understand anime stories, themes, and content so families can watch with wisdom, discernment, and have meaningful conversations.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, you’re in the right place.

🔹 Values & Trust

Fandom can be a wonderful place to connect, create, and belong—but it can also come with risks, especially for kids and teens.

This blog exists to help families enjoy anime and fandom without going in blind.
I believe in curiosity, boundaries, and giving people the tools they need to make informed choices— so that safety and joy can exist together.

My hope is that, together, we can make anime research clearer, calmer, and more helpful for families.

I’m so glad you’re here—and I look forward to walking alongside you as you explore anime with confidence. 💛
